From September 15th until March 31st, dogs can be leash free from 4PM until 10AM everyday and leashed the rest of the day while on the beach.

Want more time to run? The Bark Park behind the Rec Center on 29th Ave is fenced, split into small-dog and large-dog areas, and has water fountains + waste stations — off-leash, any time.

Hungry after the beach? Grab a patio table with your pup at Coconut Joe's, Acme Lowcountry Kitchen, Sea Biscuit Cafe, Islander 71, Smugglers, The Dinghy, or Cafe Paname.

And when it's time to book: about 40% of our Isle of Palms rental inventory is pet-friendly, so your dog doesn't have to sit this trip out. 🏖️

On Saturday, October 3rd, runners, walkers, and families take on the IOP Connector — starting at 8 AM on Isle of Palms, crossing into Mount Pleasant, and looping back with some of the most beautiful views the Lowcountry has to offer 🌊 Ocean, marsh, Intracoastal, wildlife… all of it.

Pick your challenge — 5K, 10K, or the Family Fun Run — then celebrate at the post-race festival with live music, a kids' area, vendor exhibits, an awards ceremony, and free beer for the 21+ crowd 🍻🎶
