It is with great sadness that we let our family, friends, and campers know that our beloved Melvin passed away yesterday at The Meadows. We are heartbroken and deeply saddened by his unexpected passing.
He was a gentle giant that fulfilled many dreams of children and adults alike— allowing them to interact with a cow his size. Mel provided many memories and daily entertainment with his antics…. from mooing to remind us of feeding times to always coming to the fence when called for carrots and bananas. Melvin’s saunter to the fence to greet everyone was constant until his last day with us. Sweet Roy, Melvin’s sidekick, is extremely saddened and distressed over Melvin’s passing too. He is lost without his best friend. Our heart breaks for him as well.
Melvin will be truly missed by us at The Meadows and by all of those who came to know him over the past 2 years. Rest In Peace sweet boy. Your family loves you❤️
