Our Story
Centrally located in Jackman, Maine, Fountaine's Lakeside Cottage is a place for family and/or friends alike to come and enjoy! The cottage has 2 bedrooms and has a queen size futon in the living room so at full capacity, it can hold 6 people comfortably. Kitchen has everything you need; Microwave, coffee maker and gas range. The cottage also offers cable TV. In the summertime, you're able to enjoy a private beach, canoes and kayaks to use if you don’t have your own along with tranquility and ambiance of the sounds of nature all around you. From the lapping of the waves in the afternoon to the call of the loons in the evening. There is a fire pit out back that can be used for atmosphere and/or using it for cooking out on the grill. In the winter, you've got access with your snowmobiles to just about anywhere! It's easy to get to the ITS trail system. Parking isn't an issue either with its large yard so no worries when arriving with trailers! Max capacity: 6 Winter seasonal rental is available. Must book in advance. Non-Refundable deposits are required. **Cell phones that use US Cellular and Verizon as their provider get EXCELLENT service in this area. Sprint can also work up here but it's spotty. AT&T and T-Mobile does not work in town but if you head South on Rt. 201 about 6 miles to the Owl's Head/Attean Lookout Rest Area, the signal works great to retrieve message and make calls out.
