Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1046 Duval County Florida VVA is organized as a not-for-profit
corporation and is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(19) of the Interna
l Revenue Service Code.

Recognizing that there were many veterans of the Veteran Era in Duval County
and the surrounding communities, a group of committed individuals applied for
and were approved in October, 2010 for a Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans
of America. Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America is the only national Vietnam
veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated
to Viet

nam-era veterans and their families. VVA'S FOUNDING PRINCIPLE
"Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another."

General information

Chapter Members meet on 1st Wednesday of the month at the Elk's Lodge, 1855 West Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Social time starts at 6:30 PM and the business meeting starts sharply at 7:00 PM and normally lasts 1 hour. Guests and prospective members are always welccome.

Membership is open to U.S. armed force veterans who served on active duty
(for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between
February 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975, or in any duty location between
August 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975.
