Escape the city lights to this dark‑sky sanctuary and enjoy the Perseids light up the night on August 12th and 13th!

Do you know how the Perseid Meteor Shower got its name? From our vantage point, the meteor shower appears to radiate from the constellation Perseus. And who is Perseus, you ask? A mythological Greek hero, best known for slaying Medusa, who had a reputation for turning anyone who looked at her to stone with her less than desirable appearance. Unlike looking at Medusa, you are going to want to see these meteors!

Tip for viewing: lie back, give your eyes 20 min to adjust, and watch for fast, fiery streaks (mostly visible between 2–4 a.m.) up to 60‑100 meteors an hour at peak. 🌠
