On Thursday, February 26, Buffalo National River will begin a prescribed burn within the Lower Wilderness area. The burn may continue for several days, depending on weather conditions.

For visitor safety, trails within the burn area will be temporarily closed. However, the river corridor will remain open for paddling and gravel bar camping.
