This was Aug 18, way back when I was still holding on to my favorite Zinnia.

There’s a few people gathering in little Kansas for Labor Day weekend. They’ve dropped the price so low it’s free. There will still be good music, good people, and little piece of Dry Creek that runs ice cold and deep enough to cool your back side.

Bring drinking water and dance for rain.

I planted dill on a whim this year. I had a lot of germination and maturation to seed. But, a lot of it was puny and never made a harvestable foliage. It does bring a smell to the garden, but it wasn’t enough to deter the Rabbit of Caerbannog.

It does bring these beautiful parsley-pillars. After their metamorphosis, they will be black swallowtail butterflies.

10/10 will sow again. I’m going to move them to the perimeter and thin them out as they grow. The mint and zinnias have been keeping the butterflies nearby.
