Moreau Lodge

Moreau Lodge Ml Across the landmark Greenberry Bridge and surrounded by the picturesque Moreau River sits an over 100 year old historic property, Moreau Park.

The Moreau Lodge and surrounding structures were originally a recreation resort built by Frank W. Dallmeyer in 1909. The Lodge and stone manor on the hill peaked in popularity by the 1920s as a "Pleasure Resort". The Lodge is set in a rustic landscape of cottonwood, pine, oak and sycamore trees on what's now 18 acres of property.

* That you support it being open to the community instead of closed, inactive and/or lacking maintenance. You are also agreeing that if it were to be open, you'd be willing to pay a cover donation at the door (if there was one) and/or a drink/food from the bar if/when this was offered.

* Lastly, you're stating that you want to see the property survive hard financial times AND NOT torn down or developed into just another neighborhood of concrete and drywall duplicate houses owned by a profit hungry market so that it will have opportunity to make it to another century of existence.

Effortlessly they fly on the tips of each beam like countless tiny tentacles that beg for attention, captured for just a few seconds. delicately held by atmospheric compounds as the gospel of one soul rests gently floating down the Moreau, separating cell by cell to become a part of every molecule that breaths life into it; the blood of our past becoming all elements. Like four lenses opened by a shutter to everything taken for granted, i watch in awe of birth though it is the beginning and the end. eternal.
