This is the previous owners, the people who bought our motel never took over this site. We have been getting alot of enquiries about the motel phone and web site being discontinued here is what we know. The people who bought the motel sold out to Santa's Village. They owned another motel in North Conway, It was to much daily travel especially through the notch. We're just glad they bought us out when they did, were still working on getting our health back. Gordon is walking with a cane but is seeing doctors trying to fix his back from that accident. But on a plus side we still work together volunteering for the American Space Museum. Gordon is able to be a tour guide and Janice works the front desk. We're always there on Saturdays if your ever in the area. As far as the motel, we think it's going to stay closed this year because the park let the phone number expire. Most likely after this year is over they're going to tear down the storage units and put a tunnel across their new property under route 2. In the future they most likely will build cabins. This is all things they wanted to do when we were there. This is only our opinion from when we were there and from what we hear from our friends back there. Best to call the park to get the facts, but we do think they will just use the land this year for parking as they most likely have a long term plan for the property. The building is close to 60 years old and we were to old to tear it down. If we were younger we would have put up a two story motel with a floor to ceiling glass facard facing the park, where you would have a spectacular view from your room. The view we have now are sometimes daily rocket launches that shake the windows on our house. If your ever in the area, we live and volunteer at the American Space Museum in Titusville and are usually there every Saturday. Come by and give us a visit. ๐Ÿ˜

We've been getting alot of enquiries about availability for Christmas time. We had alot of uncertainty as the season approached. Would we stay open for part of it, would we sell the motel and the new owners stay open or closed. We'll we sold the motel about a week ago, had the moving trailer loaded at closing and we headed south. We're still in the process of unpacking, but would like to update all of you. The new owners as of now are reluctant to open now and may wait until the spring. But that may change if the phone keeps ringing and cars keep pulling in. Best is to try calling 603-586-4449.

We would like to take this time to thank each and everyone of yous for the many years of loyal support and for that we are very grateful. What we are going to miss is the many hundreds if not thousands of guests we have served over the years. But it was time. Aging parents we need to take care of and a dissabiltating injury from a bad accident has forced us to work in pain. We gave it all, there's nothing left to give. We'll be thinking about yous as time goes on. Isn't this about the time that the _______ family comes to visit. When the new owners open up, please pay them a visit, they're the younger and healthier version of us. ๐Ÿ˜‡

Hello everyone we are back at the motel and are getting ready for what looks like a come back season. We have already got a lot of things done in a very short period of time. Got the tent up, play ground set up and opened the pool. We're going back to doing the same for continental breakfast as we did pre Covid, will have tables spread out and the Tent is available as well. We also upgraded the TV package in the rooms to more premium stations. Last year when we opened they gave us a different package we didn't like but we were only open for 4 months. Will try to put a link to the channels on our web page. Also we are looking for some summer help, last year it was just the two of us. The hours are usually 10 am to 2 Pm and the rate will start at $13 an hour. Anyone local reading this can apply any time at the Motel. The sooner this year gets going the faster we can forget about last year.

We would like to take this time to wish everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2021 New Year. It was not all doom and gloom, there is always a silver lining if you look hard enough for it. So we leave you with this picture of Santa's Village across from the Evergreen Motel in Jefferson, New Hampshire taken at dusk on 12/6/2020 as a reminder of what is yet to come. We have lived across the street from Santa's Village for over a decade and this is what we see from our bedroom window, now how many people can say that......MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!! See you's soon. ๐Ÿ˜

Quick update on October 17th, something we have only seen once before. A snow storm shuts down Santa's Village. Last time that happened was Memorial Day weekend. The reason for that is no one expected that thanks to forecasts of snow only in extreme high elevations. Weather forecasters blew this one. COAL IN THEIR STOCKINGS !!!
They and everyone else up here were not prepared. I felt bad that I didn't put my plow on, but no one else did either. We didn't see a single private plow go by. Went to the post office, not plowed as well as any other place I drove by. We felt bad for the children that stood with us last night and the ones that were coming today, knowing how disappointing this must have been to them

12 days of Christmas is now the 12 days of ๐ŸŽ… Village. That it, you only have 12 opportunities to have fun at the park before they close for the season. Makes sense with higher energy costs for heat and electricity consumption it wouldn't have been economically feasible at 25% capacity. Everyone that stood with us that went there this year told us it was one of there best visits ever. So don't let opportunitie pass you by, get your date specific ticket you want as soon as they go on sale, they sell out fast at 25% capacity. Then give us a call, we look forward to seeing as many of you before our season comes to an end as well. We all made the best of an awful situation. Next year will be very busy, so take advantage of the final 12 days of Christmas.

We hit 90 degrees yesterday and we had 2 families coming to stay with us during the week. We usually only get busy on the weekends this time of year when Santa's Village is open, but they came up to see us. I clean the pool every day, but I knew it was going to get alot of use since it was so hot, so I was very fussy cleaning it. In the 13 years I have cleaned that pool I have only been in it once, yet it is my favorite job. The kids as soon as they get here are more interested in jumping into pool than going to the park across the street. We love seeing families have fun in our pool and that is why it's my favorite job. Check out how clean it is, many Years ago I took a class at the BOH to be a Certified Pool Operator. By the way for those that aren't old enough to remember the Beverly Hillbillies, Jethro called the swimming pool the cement pond. Jump in, it's perfect. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Hello everyone hope you are all healthy and made the best out of this summer. Here's a little update on how things are going up here in the North Country. The season started slowly and has been improving every day. Our county as well as all of VT have had the lowest Covid-19 in the country. Everything has been going as planned by following our Country's guidelines. August is the busiest month of the year and we are seeing an uptick in business especially on the weekends. If you plan on going to the attractions they are selling tickets 1 week in advance. If you know the day you want, go online and get them as soon as they go on sale because they are selling out at the state mandated capacities. Once you get your tickets give us a call if you want a room. During the week we will never fill up. Weekends have been hitting capacity or close to capacities. We also would like to thank all the people that took the time to like us, check in, and recommend us. We're not to familiar with social media sites, we don't tweet or any of those other sites so forgive us if we fail at times to respond in a timely manner. Sitting in a waiting room at the dealership and playing around with this site, I just found messages that was sent to us that we never knew was there. We grew up with rotary phones and black and white TV, guess I need to go to Facebook school. So if you want to go to the amusement parks this is the year of small lines and the weather has been great. Next year if everything works out should be 1 1/2 to twice as busy, so come on up and take advantage of the smaller lines. All our guests staying with us have had nothing but great things to say about their visit to Santa's Village.

We're back !!!!! We had to wait for the Governor to let us open up again and we had to wait for the states to allow interstate travel so we could get back home. We've been here for a little over 2 weeks and have been working hard every day to get things ready when Santa's Village opens up again on July 1st. We got all the rooms ready and then spent a lot of time outside cleaning, painting and fixing what ever mother nature broke over the winter. The grass was tall enough to hay, now it is all brown do the drought we are experiencing in the North Country. As we all know this year is going to be unique to say the least. We were in Florida over the winter and seen how their amusement parks handled their re openings. We have season pass's to Kennedy Space Center and went there for a rocket launch and everything went smoothly. They limited their capacity, temp checks at gate, face masks worn by everyone and social distances was easy do to the smaller crowds. It was actually better then before the changes do to less people meant less waiting to see the attractions. We know we won't see many of our friends this year, but for those that do come we are ready for you. :0) Everything is in place, all that is missing in you !!!โ˜บ๏ธ

Know it has been awhile since we posted on this site, we're not on the computer much, rather be outside. As everyone knows a lot has changed in the last month. We were getting double the amount of reservations for this year and then the disruption hit. I like to call it a disruption, because it will eventually end as long as we follow government guidelines and take care of each other. We closed last year before the winter started and have not opened up yet. We are hoping to open the building sometime next month and be ready for the Memorial Day weekend, but that is not in our hands. It's more important we all get through this healthy and time will tell when we get back to doing normal things again. We realize most people stay with us to go to Santa's Village and if the park is not open then there is no need for a room. This year we'll just take it one day at a time, reservations can be easily canceled or changed as situations change since it's not really in our hands. WE'RE all in the same boat, STAY SAFE and look forward to hearing sounds of Christmas music and the screams coming from the kids on the roller coaster. :0)

09/30/2019

Hello to all of our friends. :0) We will be open for as long as we can this year. We closed early last year due to a very bad auto accident, but will stay open as long as we can this year. :0)
