Pick your season 🍁🌲❄️ Vermont is alive with color right now with many corners of the state just beginning to peak!

🍁 Soon we'll see the leaves fall and the cozy late fall will begin. Then, the flakes will blanket us with white. Soon after, the sap will run and maple sugaring season will begin. The crocus and tulips will push through and before we know it, the mountains will be lush and green again.

Fall is just beginning 🍂 The glowing foliage throughout Vermont is just step one in the magic of fall.

No edits, no filters, not even the best camera. Just a phone, wandering through Sterling Ridge Resort and seeing what kinds of fall magic we can find tucked into the corners 🍂

This is a truly special season on the Ridge and one that doesn't look like it'll be ending any time soon. Even as the leaves begin to fall and the colors shift from bright and bold to moody and calm, we hope you keep exploring these corners of Vermont with us.

Fall has just begun 🍂 With glowing mountains and aerial views making headlines, we're an advocate for a quieter kind of fall in Vermont.

Think corn mazes, crunchy leaves, sunrise hikes, coffee on your cabin porch, apple picking, small town exploring.

Bright and colorful fall is all around us, but soon we'll shift into a quieter, darker, slower fall.

Moody fall foliage has arrived 🍂 Color is officially spreading through Vermont!

As the first wave of trees begin to turn, we are so excited to have one of those dream seasons where it seems like the bright, bold colors really will stretch across several weeks.

🍁 Drives through Jeffersonville, Underhill, Jericho, and into Stowe and Waterbury are absolutely on fire! We're hearing and seeing that the Northeast Kingdom is just as beautiful.

Not joining us for a few weeks? Don't worry, more than half of the trees are still lush and green and hardly any leaves have even thought about dropping.

We just might be in for one of the best and longest foliage runs in years!

Foliage Update 🍁 The mountains of Vermont are spotted with color making for beautiful drives and scenic lookout points!

Photos from Monday, September 21 at Sterling Ridge Resort. Current foliage conditions have progressed slightly beyond these images.

Walking our trails and sitting on your cabin porch you'll still see primarily green on ground level, but the sun is slowly but surely doing its magic to add touches of red, gold, and orange to the foliage!

🍁 This week, you can expect gorgeous mountains dotted with color and the chill in the air begging you to cozy up in a flannel by the fire!

🍁 Next week as we enter October, we're expecting a wider range of color surrounding your cabins and bright leaves beginning to scatter themselves on trails and fields.

🍁 The following week people are predicting a full show of foliage and some trees will begin to start dropping leaves.

As we get deeper into October, it's hard to know when leaves will start to drop in earnest, but all signs point to a long, stable foliage season! We're truly enthusiastic about the views you can expect, the leaves that begin to pile on the ground, and a true Fall in New England experience over the next several weeks.

As always, embrace the fall you get, drive and explore beyond your immediate home base, and you'll find so much beauty throughout the state.

And to think we're beginning to see Vermont look like this again 🍂 Mid September is showing hints of foliage and the next few weeks should explode with color along mountain ridges, along roadsides and riverbanks.
