Our favorite time of year is MAY! Mostly because it's the start of the sea turtle nesting season. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center’s research team has already encountered a Loggerhead sea turtle crawl on their morning patrol and confirmed Jekyll Island's first sea turtle nest!! Later that same morning, they also found the second nest of the season! 🌊🐢

Sorry friends! We had a blast on spring break which included a trip down to . But we’re back and ready to run. Speaking of running — Who doesn't love a family fun run that supports rehabilitation of sea turtles? With a sea turtle-obsessed kiddo, we do what we can to support the things he loves, and the activities that keep him happy. Even better when those things cross paths = saving sea turtles and running!

The beloved annual Georgia Sea Turtle Center’s Turtle Crawl 10K, 5K races and 1K fun run is back on Saturday, April 29, 2023! This race officially starts the open of the sea turtle nesting season on Jekyll Island.

Registration for the races are still open - save the turtles today!
