I started making these last year to start a small farmers market type business when we retired. Homemade pickles and Christmas ornaments would keep me busy and out of trouble. Since we are going to be here for awhile longer I decided to put them in the gift shop here. They are hand stitched and the backs have a pocket to hold a gift card.

The second picture is my table when I returned after taking the first photo. I guess creativity is messy!

It took about five years for it to recover from the freeze but the fig tree has finally begun to put on fruit. I don't expect to have enough to sell but should have a good batch of preserves for the breakfast table!

There were piles of fresh empty peanut shells outside a couple of chipmunk holes. I guess today was spring cleaning day....

Ants had taken over one of the hummingbird feeders and were making a trail down the porch. I followed them. They seemed to be going out into the woods on the opposite side of the house. I made them their own feeder with a paper towel lining the bottom so they wouldn't drown, got them interested, and started moving it down the porch, down the stairs and out to the woods. We are now almost to the edge of the woods. The ants are happy and the hummingbird feeder is pest free. I call it a good day

It rained again last night and these odd things emerged all over the yard. We have rain in the forecast through Monday so it looks like there is a fungus amoung us. If you don't hear from us for a few weeks, you might check to see if pod people have taken over Jessieville.đŸ˜‰
