All our trail signs have been removed and stored in our sign shed. Thanks to the hardworking volunteers who managed this task.

The last meeting of the 2025/2026 season just concluded. 6 members attended and over the past 2 hours, a lot of loose ends were wrapped up. Our secretary Julie and our president Troy were re-elected to another term on the board. Steve was also elected as a member to the Board of Directors. Stay tuned for updates as we prepare for the next meeting in September to open up the 2026/2027 season.

Please know that these very carefully thought out decisions are made by a large group of individuals that put safety first.

Just a friendly reminder that all Chippewa County Snowmobile Trails are closed and will remain closed for the duration of this storm and after the storm.
A few things to think about -
The frost has come out of the ground and there is inches of mud on top of the fields and trails.
All rivers, streams, creeks, and swamps are thawed and flowing.
Our big lakes, Wissota and Holcombe, have open water.
No amount of snow fall with change these things. We are expecting to have downed trees and branches, brush and shrubs toppled over, crossing the trails which is extremely dangerous.
Every volunteer in this association wants to be out there snowmobiling as much as the public does. However it will not be safe to open our trails.
The safety of our community and protecting the property of our gracious landowners is our top priority.
With all that said enjoy your blizzard! Stay snowed in safely. And as always, please respect our landowners and our volunteer clubs by staying off all closed trails! ❄️❄️

Trail Report- Friday March 13, 2026

Trails are now Open!
We received everything and more of what they predicted for us over the night and into this morning. Groomers will be out until there is nothing left to groom. We will be grooming mainland only. Swamps are wet.

This is and will most likely will be the last bonus week of the season, Sunday's storm keeps tracking more north bringing even more snow to the northland. Stop making excuses, hook onto the trailer, and head north.

Due to these warmer than expected temperatures and the recent rain (sigh), we have chosen to suspend/close the following sections of trails to preserve the snow remaining as well as to preserve our landowners property until we get colder weather and hopefully more snow. The gates just north of 1917 to near the Cenex in Jim Falls will be closed either late tonight or by first thing in the morning. Let’s hope for more snow. The trail sections that are closing (officially at midnight Jan 8th) are in pink from 1917 (intersection 26) to Jim Falls (96), as well as well as trail from intersections 26 to 27, and 78 to 79. Please stay off these properties until we reopen them. Thanks!
