We need to save our church!

Historical church and landmark, St. Marks & St. John's Episcopal church on Race Street in Jim Thorpe is in possible danger of damage due to the possible construction and digging into the mountain, to put in more parking; a lot that will not be for the public.
The construction would require tearing down a building and digging / rock removal, into the mountain 40 feet to extend the lot.
As you can see by the pictures in the album, the mountain literally connects to the church and acts as the foundation and even one of the walls to the church (which is quite amazing to see, by the way).
Concern comes in with the possible vibration from the rock removal, that could potentially do structural damage, along with the cracking or shattering of the stained glass.
The windows were last appraised at $2 million in 1998, so it is probably closer to $5 million, now.

If anything would happen to the windows, they could get only replacement value, since Tiffany is no longer alive.
