St. Edward and Christ - Christ Campus

St. Edward and Christ - Christ Campus Worship services are offered in the Great Barn. Enjoy a 12 acre farm site. The Center can accommodate at least 20 people. Reserve the property for your retreat.

Holy Eucharist is held every first, second, and fourth Sunday at 10:30 am and Morning Prayer is offered the other Sundays of the month at 10:30 am. The Spirituality Center includes an early 20th century two story Sears brick farm house, a bedroom cabin, a barn, fire pit, volley ball area, and pond. Both houses are fully stocked for convenience with modern kitchens, bed linens, and air conditioning

. The Persell House is an ideal place to host a vestry day, staff building day, or an overnight retreat. The center provides a tranquil setting for private retreats for clergy and spouses/partners. Built in 1902, the Persell House was ordered from Sear’s Catalogue. It’s oak molding and front porch swing evoke a time of simple life styles, and quiet contemplation. The Great Barn completes the spiritual center buildings. With the labyrinth painted on the barn floor and a hoop for shooting baskets, the barn offers ample opportunities for physical activity even during inclement weather. Liturgical supplies are available for your use.

What a fantastic event that everyone enjoyed, from the wonderful guests, to the amazing volunteers. We thank God for the beautiful day as well as all those who made this day possible. A warm thank you to Episcopal Charities. Without your help and support we wouldn't be able to make these connections. "Well done my good and faithful servants." Our Christ Campus location comes alive when we are able to host these opportunities in your name to further the purposes you design. We are so grateful for being able to share these moments. A special thank you to those who take special care of the properties at Christ Campus and St. Edward and Christ Episcopal Church Joliet , from the vegetable garden that benefit those in need in our community and the flowers that bring such beauty and joy. As well as those who are working tirelessly maintaining and beautifying the Persell House and Barn, taking the time to clean out the trailer, corn crib and the addition of the benches at the firepit. New carpeting, floors, kitchen, gutter guards. Its nice to see the love that is shepherding these locations. Your special care and service is very much appreciated. I cannot neglect to include those who fulfill their pledge the best they can and those who have made very generous donations to make these upgrades and routine maintenance projects possible, such as the new doors, resurfaced parking lot, stained fences and porchs, electrical work. And the Green Team for planting Norway Spruce trees around around Earth Day. There is so much happening, and more to come!
