St. Edward and Christ - Christ Campus

Call Directions Website

St. Edward and Christ - Christ Campus Worship services are offered in the Great Barn. Enjoy a 12 acre farm site. The Center can accommodate at least 20 people. Reserve the property for your retreat.

Holy Eucharist is held every first, second, and fourth Sunday at 10:30 am and Morning Prayer is offered the other Sundays of the month at 10:30 am. The Spirituality Center includes an early 20th century two story Sears brick farm house, a bedroom cabin, a barn, fire pit, volley ball area, and pond. Both houses are fully stocked for convenience with modern kitchens, bed linens, and air conditioning. The Persell House is an ideal place to host a vestry day, staff building day, or an overnight retreat. The center provides a tranquil setting for private retreats for clergy and spouses/partners. Built in 1902, the Persell House was ordered from Sear’s Catalogue. It’s oak molding and front porch swing evoke a time of simple life styles, and quiet contemplation. The Great Barn completes the spiritual center buildings. With the labyrinth painted on the barn floor and a hoop for shooting baskets, the barn offers ample opportunities for physical activity even during inclement weather. Liturgical supplies are available for your use.

What a delightful way to spend the afternoon. This is our 6pm group and they did an amazing job. Each so very unique with their added personalities brushed into each stroke. Thanks so much to everyone who came out. We meet so terrific new people and shared a wonderful time with familiar friends during our Paint & Sip event. If you are interested in hosting any type of event at The Grove Event Center contact Bev @ 815-361-9771.

Our Family Harvest Fest is coming soon. If you'd like to participate in Trunk or Treat please contact Cathy McDonnell Schultz or Diane Jefferson. You can also donate candy if you cannot participate.

The evening will include a chili cook-off, brats and hot dogs for sale. As well as a wonderful dessert bar. There will also be b**r and w**e for sale. Don't miss the bon fire and hayrack rides. It will be a fun evening. This is our churches big fundraiser for the year so we hope to see many new faces.

There will also be a raffle for gift baskets.

Our church picnic was such a wonderful occasion. The service was lovely. Thank you Father Bonney. The music and choir sounded great. The Lord blessed us with beautiful weather. The food was top notch. Thank you to everyone who set up, cooked or shopped, cleaned up and participated in your special way. We also enjoyed tunes thanks to JustBev Radvikus. The grounds were beautiful as usual. We pray that you all take the spirit of protection with you until we meet again.
