While I've taken liberties with the exact verbage, this summarizes the sincere greeting we received from Carol when we arrived at the Eureka Inn. But, they'd already thought of everything!
I loved our uniquely decorated room and the comfy bed where we could adjust the temperature to our liking. But it was the small personal touches that earned my loyalty; like the makeup-specific black washcloth. Truly, a seemingly small insignificant detail; but when we reached our final destination, a 4-star resort that provided no similar type item, I felt cheated. Our Eureka Inn experience was far more special.
Sadly, we were guest for only one weekday night, so were unable to enjoy the Eureka Inn's beautiful courtyard or other amenities. However, before our unhurried checkout, we were treated to a relaxing morning in the parlor enjoying coffee and delicious yogurt parfaits; while we shared stories and laughter with our hosts and another guest.
We arrived at the Eureka Inn as strangers but we left feeling we had made new friends. We look forward to visiting again and enjoying a longer stay."
Miranda Shelton..."A++ historic house with character, would pick this over a 5star chain any day. It’s rare to find these unique places. The Laura room was quaint & cozy, loved the soft lighting throughout. Walking downtown Jonesborough after dinner and after breakfast was also a special treat, wonderful scenery.
