Day 63
Good morning!
Before I forget, I stayed at the Sportsmen Motel, Jordan MT last night. I can honestly say that after 62 nights on the Northern Tier and way more rooms than I had originally planned to get, it was the nicest and cleanest motel I've stayed at so far. It also had the most comfortable bed, which definitely contributed to today's intentional late start because I really didn't want to crawl out of it. If you're passing through Jordan, I would definitely recommend it.
The original goal was to make it all the way to Winnett, Montana, but I think I'm just going to stop in Sand Springs instead. I believe you can camp behind the gas station there. If that has changed, then I'll just keep going to Winnett.
I just kinda wanted to take a break today, but I didn't want to take a zero day. So a shorter ride today seemed like a good compromise.
Also, a random little thing from today: I got change back at the gas station, and they gave me a 50-cent piece. I haven't gotten one of those as change in probably 25 years. I have no idea why that made me smile, but it did.
Now the real question is... what are the odds I actually make it to the end of this trip without losing it? đŸ˜‚
