The Guest Studio In Joshua Tree

The Guest Studio In Joshua Tree Outside the window there is a magical landscape of smooth round boulders rising over a frozen sea of Joshua Trees.

The trail outside the front door wanders down into the canyon where there are hundreds of ancient rock engravings.

Just changed the name to Joshua Tree Guest Studio after realizing that after the remodel it is no longer just a room.

New pictures of the remodeled Guestroom in Joshua Tree are now up.

The list of additions include: a new kitchenette with a shelf and counter, re-tiled sink and new wooden ramp, french doors taken from the bathroom and installed into a handmade frame on the eastern wall, new lights inside the room and out, a new wooden and cement patio (this required breaking out part of the old patio along with sawsalling part of a botched stucco-chainlink fence) ,

a new railroad tie and rock staircase between the carport and the room, a beautiful remodel on the outside eastern wall that included taking out a broken glass table used as a window, moving a post and a door while restoring some old T-111 -and finally a new paint job throughout.

This was a major project to say the least that took six months so far. A lot of credit must be given to Michael Klem who placed a great deal of his time, energy, skill, perseverance and sanity (maybe all his sanity) into this project. His talents knew no bounds and he did an amazing job.

Praise should also be given to Steve Critz who used his boundless energy and sagacity on the landscaping and the rock stairway -he actually hauled the rocks by hand. Thanks should be given to Joshua Burgett who really helped in the stair building when there was a deadline to meet.

And last but not least a many many many thanks must go to Allen and Joanne Wells who really kick-started the whole ordeal when then suddenly found themselves building a wall right in the middle of their vacation way back in March. Thank you again to all of you the result has been amazing! Sincerely JB and Keri
