Hey y’all! I just dropped the nightly rate at the Cowboy Cabin to “HOT SUMMERTIME” rates! 🥵🌵🏜🥵😂 $98 per night with a one time cleaning fee of $55. We also allow up to two dog with a single $20 pet fee. Hot days = warm nights which is one of my favorite things about the desert. Just “siesta and Netflix” all day and then gaze at the stars at night. (The rate says $114 per night until you choose dates.)

Hey y'all! I just dropped the Cowboy Cabin nightly rates to "HOT SUMMERTIME" rates! 😅 $98 per night with a one-time cleaning fee of $55. We do a one-time $20 pet fee to bring up to two dogs. Take a look at the calendar. Hot days mean warm nights which are pretty magical. You just lay around siesta-ing and Netflix-ing during the day and then lounge around and gaze at the stars at night.

By popular demand… Ta Da! Blackout curtains on the east side of the cabin! Hopefully it’ll allow you late(er) risers to sleep in past dawn 😂😂😂 The blackout curtains were up last night but I still woke up at 5:45 am just before a beautiful sunrise.

We got a last minute cancellation for tomorrow 2/12/22 through 2/14/22. I dropped the price to $100 per night. Link in bio!
I also learned that Landers is stage 3 in the Bortle scale which means “rural sky.” The Bortle scale measures celestial visibility ✨😍✨

Pro tip: if you want to see stars and the Milky Way, check the moon phase before booking a stay in the desert. This weekend the moon is pretty full, but the desert is also beautiful under a full moon. 🌵🏜

The Integratron is just 5 miles from the Cowboy Cabin! They’re doing sound baths again! Every Saturday night in September. There’s a URL at the bottom of the text:

Sound Bath Under the Stars is Back!
Our evening of music, relaxation, and warm desert nights has returned!
There are two unique ways to experience this special Soundbath:
1. We have the inside the dome experience, where you'll have a curated opening talk with one of the "sisters" and an incredible live Soundbath in the sound chamber complete with funky lighting. $75
2. The under the stars experience, where you bring your own gear (chair, blanket, etc) and get to experience the live played Soundbath outside projected at you while taking in the desert night sky. $50

After a balmy rain shower I woke up to this full half-circle, complete double rainbow!

...And DONE! No big deal, just a trip out to the desert when it was 107 degrees to do ONLY outdoor tasks. Built 2 chairs and a loveseat out of 2x4s, painted a picnic table and made two benches, spray painted some metal chairs and moved a bunch of old fence wood (not pictured.) Swipe for process shots.
But the Cowboy Cabin is more star-gazing ready than it’s ever been! The days were hot but the nights were amazing. I even caught two meteors from the Perseids meteor shower. And I could see the Milky Way with the naked eye. It was so amazing. I forget how awe-inspiring being under a canopy of stars is. One day and I will go out there and NOT have a bunch of work to do. It’s getting closer all the time. I’m also dying to visit the Gubler Orchid farm in Landers.

The cuts for the rest of our custom outdoor furniture are done! Huge props to for finding an amazing design and for doing most of the work (ahem.) I’m pretty useless although I am good at carrying the wood over to the table saw. 💪
