Daffodil Show
This annual event, showcasing a variety of daffodils, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 4th and 5th. Questions about daffodils will be answered by American Daffodil Society experts. There will be over 1,000 blooms on display as well as art from local youth. This event is free and will be at the Julian Chamber of Commerce.

Arrive Friday, December 30th and you'll begin celebrating the holiday with an hors d'oeuvre party at Pat's and Darrell's home.

It's a wonderful way to get together to watch the second-to-the-last sunset of the year.

On the 31st, you'll experience the wintry holiday night with an eight-course dinner followed by a party with music, noise makers, and, of course, a midnight champagne toast.

Your stay also includes a full breakfast each day with extended hours on January 1st.

We are very excited to let you know that, following breakfast on New Year's day, Eddie Martinez of the Mesa Grande tribe will hold a spiritual cleansing and blessing of the inn. All guests staying during this holiday can be a part of the ceremony and be blessed as well.

A two-night stay is required beginning Friday, December 30th. Cost: standard daily room rate plus $325 per couple.

The cancellation period is three weeks.

Holidays at Orchard Hill

Tree Lighting
It’s that time of year for another wonderful holiday season. As a tradition, Julian celebrates its tree lighting the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The event includes a variety of performers and carolers, a living nativity, and much more. Consider a stay at Orchard Hill with a lovely walk to town and, later, a delicious four-course dinner at the Inn. Town festivities begin at 2:00 pm.

Dear Guest,

Christmas comes to Julian every year in an old-fashioned way. The holidays in Julian gets closer to the winter dream than most spots in Southern California. You'll feel a nip in the air, sniff wood fires, and perhaps catch a glimpse of snow-capped mountains surrounding the town.

Julian celebrates the start of the holiday season this Saturday, November 28, with performers set for appearances up and down Main Street, as well as the traditional setting in the Pioneer Museum Park. The day will culminate with the lighting of our town's 80-foot Christmas tree.

During the weekend, you can also indulge in a Victorian Christmas afternoon tea at the tea shop, sing Christmas carols with costumed holiday carolers, and sip a cup of hot chocolate or spiced cider. You can also watch the annual Living Nativity tableau or cuddle under a blanket while riding down Main Street in a carriage.

Julian Halloween Weekend Events
Spooky Stories and S’mores: On October 30th and 31st at Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant, local writer Cheryl Eckes, and her husband Roger Eckes, will read original family-friendly spooky short stories. Wear a costume and be entered into their free drawing. Trick or Treat dinner specials are also available. For more information, call 619-592-5248. Dress warmly; reading will be outside on the balcony, weather permitting. Reading will begin at 6:00 pm.

The Haunted Tunnel: If you want to be spooked, visit the haunted tunnel for a ghostly, guided tour of Eagle Peak Mine. This event will be held on Saturday, October 31st from 3:00 pm until dark. Location: C Street. Price: $5 per person.

Costume Party: Saturday, October 31 - Halloween Costume Party at Jeremy’s on the Hill. Visit Jeremy’s in costume and they will have specials throughout the day and hourly costume contests. Then, starting at 5:30, they will have Jeremy’s famous grass fed beef burgers or fried chicken (usually served only on Friday nights) for $14.95 – and that includes a pint of Nickel beer!

Pumpkin-Dropping Contest: This is a very unusual way to use a pumpkin. You get on a glider plane, get towed to 1,200 feet, soar and then….watch your pumpkin fall to its death…hopefully on a target. This is a lot of fun!! Afterward, there will be a potluck and BBQ. This fun event takes place on Saturday, November 7th at Warner Spring’s Sky Sailing Company. Sunday Supper

Beginning Sunday, September 20th and continuing each Sunday thereafter throughout the calendar year, there will be a special dinner in a special place.
Fresh and made to order, our traditional four-course dinner will be prepared by Chef Doris and served graciously in our Julian and Craftsman dining rooms.
Seasonal menu is subject to change. Special diets are accommodated. Dinner is $45 per person. Alcoholic beverages and gratuity are not included.
