WOW! Christmas Eve delivered more than we ever could have expected. ☃️
An extraordinary amount of snow and a power outage that’s still ongoing, with no estimate on restoration.
We’re finally getting caught up on snow removal, but it’s been a wild ride full of emotion, exhaustion, and nonstop effort. Aaron, myself, our incredible housekeeper Veronica, and a few amazing snow removal helpers have been working tirelessly to keep things moving and, most importantly, keep our guests safe and warm.
It’s been an odd time where I haven’t fully been able to document or pause to appreciate what’s happening, simply because the weight of caring for our guests has come first.
We truly could not have made it through this Christmas without my family. My dad tackling snow removal and plumbing fixes, my mom keeping the kids entertained, the house clean, and everyone fed, and my sister helping me keep my sanity through it all.
And of course, my amazing husband who, quite literally, keeps this place running 24/7. We wouldn’t be able to function without him and his endless efforts.
This was a very different Christmas than we imagined, but one we’ll never forget. To our phenomenal guests who have been right here alongside us through it all, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support during these wild times.
Here’s a photo one of our guests captured that reminded me to pause and feel grateful. And to remember all our efforts are much appreciated and noticed. 🤍
