Juneau Hostel

Juneau Hostel Juneau's one and only hostel, offering low cost overnight accommodations for travelers We have a full kitchen for guest use.

The Juneau International Hostel is a nonprofit organization run by volunteers. Our mission is to provide travelers clean, safe, and inexpensive overnight accommodations, as a way of fostering a sense of community with people of different backgrounds. We have gender-separate dormitories (3-8 beds per room) and one private room reserved exclusively for families traveling with small children or persons with disabilities. There is a refrigerator (no freezer); cupboard space for food storage; and recycling bins for glass, tin, aluminum, newspapers and commonly used plastics. Our dining area is warm and light, perfect for sharing a meal with friends, both new and old. In addition to our kitchen and dining facilities, we have a comfortable common area. We have a computer with internet access as well as wireless capabilities. There is a lending library for rainy evenings (yes, we do get a bit of rain here). The Juneau International Hostel does have a daily lockout from 9AM/0900 until 5PM/1700 and a curfew (11PM/2300 during our summer months and 10:30PM/2230 in the winter).

“…This was one of the best hostels I've been to. It has an unbeatable price, and it feels like home. I strongly recommend it.”
