ITINERARY: Outdoor animal sightings and a farmhouse dinner

2:00pm - 3:30pm - Busch Wildlife Sanctuary
Start by visiting Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, our local wildlife rescue organization. Lots of native creatures to see here and the staff is very knowledgeable. Jupiter locals are generally very appreciative of south Florida wildlife since we all live in such close proximity, and Busch Sanctuary is a longtime advocate for our furry neighbors. There is no charge for admission, but be sure to leave them a donation. The $ go to rehabilitation and creature-care. Closed Sundays.

3:30pm - 4:30pm — Coffee
Cool off in the AC and recharge by grabbing an afternoon pick-me-up at nearby Starbucks. Not a local joint … but sometimes you just gotta have a coffee.

4:30pm - 6:30pm - Bike Trails
Beat the heat and show up at Riverbend Park late afternoon. Bring your bikes and cruise over 25miles of crushed shell trails under shaded canopies. Riverbend sits on the old Civil War Battlefield, adjacent to the Loxahatchee slough. Look out for wildlife including turkey, deer, raccoon, bobcat, alligators and armadillos. If you go after a rainfall, there are barely any other people and the animals come out in droves.

6:30pm - 9:00pm - Dinner
Freshen up in the Riverbend restrooms and head over to The farmhouse - an owner-operated farm to table restaurant and venue located in Jupiter Farms. Grab a dinner inside and then head outside after to enjoy drinks and live music. The Farmhouse hosts live music almost every night from local musicians and the vibe is unbeatable. There is really no other place that comes close to the Farmhouse - it’s a must visit. Closed Sundays.

Good for: Active folks, all kids, couples.

Note: The Farmhouse is locally owned and are not affiliated with this page. We do not get commission. Rather, these are businesses that we know and experiences that we actually participate in. Please enjoy

ITINERARY: Turtle Morning at Juno Beach

6:00am - 7:00am- Walk Juno Beach
Get up early and walk along Juno beach right before sunrise. The Treasure Coast is the #1 loggerhead sea turtle nesting area in the world. In the summer (between late April and early September), you can catch momma turtles laying their eggs before dawn. Incubation is usually about 2-months, so you can also watch the baby hatchlings scramble to the ocean in the early Fall. Keep in mind that it's illegal to touch them, so be careful of their nests which we usually mark in the sand with a triangle of red survey tape. Parking is free across the street from the Juno Beach Pier.

7:00am - 8:00am Watch sunrise at Juno Beach Pier
Walk back to the Pier right at sunrise, pick up a cup of coffee from the pier bait shop and walk out on the platform. The Pier itself offers spectacular views over the ocean, but does have a minimal access fee: $1 for Observers & $4 for Fishermen. You can rent fishing poles ($15/day and remember to have your fishing license) and buy bait at the Pier Store.

8:00am - 10:00am — Breakfast
Drive over to the Juno Beach Café for a classic, no-frills breakfast. This place has been around for decades and is a local favorite. They have outdoor seating, and you should be able to get your choice of table at this early hour.

10:00am - 11:30am - Loggerhead Marinelife Center
After breakfast, drive over to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. This facility has just been remodeled is a wonderful place for sea turtles to be treated and eventually released. Knowledgeable volunteers and lots of exhibits. Check out the attached nature trails as well. There is free parking and no set entrance fee but a minimum donation of $5 per person is suggested. You will not get a better deal than this.

Good for: Active folks, all kids, couples.

1/2 DAY MORNING ITINERARY: Kayak, Manatees & Brunch (Jupiter)

6:30am - 9:00am
Get up early and watch the sunrise from the crystal blue water of Jupiter Sound. Put in at one of the hidden walkways on Beach Road. Watch the tide schedule and try to catch the incoming tide - this is when the fresh clear water from the ocean enters the inlet allowing for good visibility and entering marine life. Paddle North with the tide and anchor at the many sandbars. Shore your kayak at Burt Renyolds Park on the Jupiter Island, cross Beach Road to the ocean front and check out the Blowing Rocks. Return south to your car, but don't stop until you check out Katos Bridge. Tons of wildlife hang out there including manatee and sea stars.

9:00am - 10:30am
Ditch your kayaks and head to breakfast at the classic Jupiter Diner. It's an old-school NJ-style diner where you can get free-range eggs and bacon.

10:30am - 12:00pm
Head across the street to Lighthouse Park. Walk the trails for a few minutes and then grab a tour of the lighthouse itself at 11am when the museum opens (they are closed on Mondays). Adult admission is $12 and you must be 48" to climb the lighthouse. No dogs allowed unfortunately :(

Good for: Active folks, big-kids, couples.

AFTERNOON - EVENING ITINERARY: Paddleboard, Dinner & Putt-Putt (Jupiter)

4:00pm - 5:00pm
Swing by Blueline Surf and Paddle Company and rent paddleboards to explore the Inlet. Rentals run about $20/person/hour. Cross the street and put-in at Guanabanas dock (there are dockhands to help you and open cubbies to store your shoes). While you're there, consider putting your name in for a reservation as this place can get packed. When you get here, you'll need to complementary valet with Guanabanas and let them know that you'll be eating dinner there. Parking is a mess.

5:00pm - 7:00pm
After you return and dock your paddleboard (remember to tip the dockhands), enjoy dinner and a drink outdoors at Guanabanas Restaurant. This place has amazing atmosphere and great live music.

7:00pm - 8:30pm
Hop in the car and drive a short distance (
