Your lymphatic system has no heart — so how does lymph move? 🤔
It’s actually pretty fascinating.
Unlike your circulatory system, the lymphatic system doesn’t have a central pump like the heart. Lymph relies on movement, breathing, pressure changes, and the natural contractions of lymphatic vessels to keep flowing.
So what happens when that system is challenged by surgery, injury, prolonged travel, or an impaired lymphatic system?
And why can you sometimes feel swollen or puffy after a long flight or a long day of sitting?
I wrote a new article explaining how lymph moves — and how Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) using the gentle, rhythmic Vodder approach can support lymphatic flow.
