Aloha to all of our guests, who we have had the pleasure of hosting at Honu Kai through the last 15 years! 🤩
We've been honored to share our B&B home and the amazing Big Island with great guests, and many of you repeaters, who have become wonderful friends.

As of May 2022, Wendi and Dave have passed the torch on to new owners, and we are now retired and planning on doing a lot of travelling and catching up with family and friends around the world.

We wish the new owners, who are keeping Honu Kai as a b&b, much success!

Our grateful Mahalo Nui Loa (big long thankyou) to all, and we trust the Aloha Spirit we shared from our hearts, will remain with you all as happy memories of a fabulous trip to Hawai'i Island.

Amazingly beautiful sunset in Kona last night, we're calling it Sunset Hector, lol, after the Hurricane that wasn't an issue to Hawaii after all, thank goodness😎
With Volcano' s activity vastly reduced, back to sunny clear skies and minimal vog...great time to come visit Big island!
Who needs a vacation?? Who wants to be spoiled at Honu Kai again? Come on over🏝

Aloha to all of you who are concerned about us with the current eruption in the Puna area, we thank you for the love!
We are fine, all ok in Kona. Earthquakes aren't really felt on this side.
We are being repeatedly asked about being able to house people and their pets, and would if we weren't full with guests. It's a problem that might not have a fast solution, Madam Pele's actions and timing are totally unpredictable!
Hopefully the flow will shift direction and go back to the ocean where it doesn't threaten homes and lives. Mahalo!

It’s our anniversary! Mahalo Nui Loa to all our B&B guests, for 11 years of sharing our home, our B&B and our amazing Big Island. A special shout out to our very first guests, Greg and Pilar from San Fransisco, who wrote our first review about Honu Kai B&B on May 1, 2007!

Our grateful appreciation to all those who have returned many times to stay with us, and become great friends since! You're all in our hearts, and much Aloha to you!
We look forward to continue to welcome our 'old' friends home again, and to making new friends as we go.

Our success has been because of your symbiosis with us, and we are deeply grateful.
