The days are still warm, the river is still calling, and winter can wait a little longer. 🌲 Our latest blog is a reminder to get outside and make the most of the season while you can.

There comes a point every summer when you realize the season is not going to last forever. The days are still warm, the forest is still green, and the Kalama River is still calling. But cooler mornings and earlier sunsets are reminders that another Pacific Northwest winter is not all that far away.....

🎣 Spend the day doing what you came to do. At Welch Cabin, the Kalama River is right outside your door, with private river access and fishing opportunities for steelhead, Chinook salmon, cutthroat and rainbow trout.

With critical fire weather forecast this week and Gifford Pinchot National Forest- U.S. Forest Service already dealing with two active wildfires, please help prevent human-caused fire starts.

It's more important than ever that we all follow the current fire restrictions, including the ongoing campfire ban: www.fs.usda.gov/r06/giffordpinchot/alerts/fire-restrictions
