Burro Flats High Desert Lodge Hi, we're Nicholas and Celeste in Kanab, Southern Utah! We offer in-home hosting in a rustic, high desert setting! Each room has its own private bathroom

Our on-site mascots are our donkeys (burros), Chocolate Bear and Jacques, and our mini horse, Casey.

Do you know what season it is?! Here at Burro Flats in Kanab, Utah, it’s sunflower 🌻 season…which also means sunset season, aka the best time of the year! Autumn 🍂 in the southwestern United States high desert is awe inspiring, cooler weather, breathtaking colors and a good chance of glimpsing incredible wild creatures, from silly quail to huge 🦌 muledeer bucks. Be sure to check weather during your stay so that you can avoid slot canyons and water drainages during a flooding rain. 🌧️ Other than that, have yourself some fun; it’s suggested to book an extra day or two at least just to relax on the back porch or explore nearby

Be warned! Here at Burro Flats High Desert Lodge in Kanab Utah, monsoon rains season is often mid august to mid September. Even stormy ⛈️ days usually include at least a little bit of blue sky! We recommend planning an extra day, in hopes of being able to sit on the back porch and watch the thunder and lightning while enjoying viewing the hummingbirds and donkeys!
