The cowboy pool is full. The fire pit is ready. And BaseCamp 37° is doing what we do best: giving you a launch pad for adventure with friendly folks excited to meet you.

Summer in the high desert is something we look forward to all year. The days are long, the sunsets are extraordinary, and the nights out here on the edge of Dark Sky certified Grand Staircase-Escalante are unlike anything you’ll find anywhere else. And while the rest of the Southwest is still baking at midnight, our temperatures here at 5,000 feet drop fast, sometimes 40 degrees from afternoon to dark. Even in July, you’ll want a layer by the fire, and yes, our mattress warmers are still needed.

Here at camp, we’re proud to be a small operation. There are no crowds, no lobby, no line. Just five tents, ten acres, women-owned, and independently operated since 2017. Our glampground faces the vast open expanse of the 37th parallel, a view that feels endless once you’re here. Once you settle in, the sounds of crickets and coyotes and the crackle of the fire will leave you feeling like you’re one of the lucky few who found this place.

And just in case you’re still on the fence, the number one thing we hear when guests check out?

“I should have booked one more night.”

So, book the extra night.

This summer, we’re offering 15% off any two-or-more-night stay, June 1 through August 31.

Book direct and use code SUMMER15 at checkout.

This discount is available for new, direct bookings only. Ends August 31, 2026.

Happy Memorial Day! Today we honor all of the men and women who we have lost while serving in the armed forces.

Today, we also celebrate a Fee Free Day at all National Park Service sites, including , , , and . Places that protect some of the most iconic landscapes in the country and give millions of people the chance to connect with something bigger than themselves.

These parks don’t exist by accident. They exist because generations of people believed these places were worth protecting. Today feels like a good reminder that public lands, shared spaces, and the freedom to explore them are something worth standing behind too.

Our go-to Memorial Day plans: head to the high country. 🤠

As of May 15th, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon opened for the season. But also recently reopened is lesser known National Monument, , that rivals the landscapes of Bryce Canyon. In fact, the exact same band of pink dolostone limestone that you find at is also here at Cedar Breaks.

The catch? The elevation is even higher than Bryce (hence the seasonal closures) which means this park is also home to some of the oldest living organisms on Earth, the Bristlecone pine. These conifers can live for 5,000 years. 🤯

So, skip the crowds, skip the heat, and skip on over to this gem.

Sometimes the best spots are hiding just down the road. 👀🤠🌵The cholla are starting to bloom across Kanab and it’s definitely one of our favorite spring flowers to appreciate.

The flowers are light green and yellow, nearly blending in with the cactus itself. It’s less showy than our beloved claret cup and prickly pear, but that’s what makes it so special. 💕

Thank you for capturing that morning glow at camp 💛⛺️🤠

Kate isn’t just a photographer. She’s a storyteller for adventure seeking souls. ✨ She captures magic with her lens across the greater Zion region for couples, families, and groups. We’re incredibly thankful to call her a friend and even more thankful she shared these shots with us.

If you’re ready to wake up to this glow, you already know what to do. We can’t wait to welcome you to camp.

Some of our favorite moments out here are watching families enjoy our little slice of high desert.

Today, we want to give a big shout out to all the moms out there. The planners, the packers, the snack carriers, the photo takers, and the ones making the memories happen in the first place.

Big thanks to for visiting us last year with her wonderful family and for sharing a glimpse into your epic Southwest getaway.

And for those already thinking ahead… Mother’s Day weekend 2027 is officially open. 🤠⛺️🌸
