Kinda chic to hang out where John Wayne hung out. 🤠

Long before poolside lounging was a trend, John Wayne was kicking back at Parry Lodge. And fun fact: he even helped pay for our pool.

If a friend came to visit me in Southern Utah for 5 days, this is where I’d take them. ❤️

Day 1 → Kayak through Horseshoe Bend + Toadstools
Day 2 → E-bike through Zion 🚲
Day 3 → Take the back way through Johnson Canyon + Kodachrome Basin → Bryce
Day 4 → Grand Canyon North Rim + Kaibab National Forest
Day 5 → Coral Pink Sand Dunes + Peek-a-Boo Slot Canyon

And every night?

We’d come back to Kanab.

That’s the thing I love about living here. You can spend every day somewhere completely different and still come home to the same cozy little town at night.

And honestly...

Every time I take someone somewhere around Southern Utah, I think, “This is my favorite.”

Then the next day comes.

And I find a new favorite.

What a wonderful day at the Historic Parry Lodge! We were honored to be a stop on today’s **Taste of Kanab: Walking Food & History Tour**.

Guests enjoyed a taste inspired by some of the original foods once served at Parry Lodge while learning about the rich history of our property and the people who helped shape Kanab’s story.

A special thank you to the **Kanab Historical Society** for helping preserve and share these stories, and thank you to everyone who joined the tour, visited Parry Lodge, and shared in a taste of history with us. We love being part of keeping Kanab’s heritage alive. ❤️

The first two weeks of L’Affetto have been better than we could have hoped, and today we sold out of pizza for the week!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has stopped by, tried a pizza, brought a friend, shared a post, or simply cheered us on. It means so much to us to see our little corner of Parry Lodge filled with people enjoying something we’ve been working hard to create. 🍕❤️

Our goal is to keep growing L’Affetto and, if we can, turn this into a full-time pizza & pasta shop. We’re still figuring things out, learning as we go, and working hard behind the scenes to make that happen.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try something new and for showing up for us these first two weeks. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

We’ll be back at it Tuesday–Thursday, 12–7 PM next week!
