Dark Sky is officially 6 today! 🎉

Last night’s Perseid meteor shower was the perfect way to celebrate, and we captured some stunning photos beneath the Milky Way. We’re incredibly grateful for our Dark Sky family—our returning guests, friends, and camp hosts who have made this place what it is and continue to support us year after year. 💫

There’s something special about the Fourth of July in a small town, especially Kanab.

The streets come alive with vendors, music, parades, and neighbors gathering to celebrate together. The day builds toward one of our favorite moments of the year: fireworks lighting up the sky against the backdrop of Kanab’s red rocks. 🇺🇸✨

This year feels even more meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday. We’re excited to be part of the parade so be sure to come out and root us on!

And the celebration doesn’t stop there. We’ll be kicking off the weekend on Friday night with a special inspiring documentary on the Terrace, and joining the nationwide potluck on Sunday, bringing people together around good stories, good food, and great company.

If you’re spending the holiday with us, you’re in for a memorable weekend.

Being named the Number 1 Place to RV in America by and is an incredible honor. Not long ago, we were ranked 3rd- and now we’ve reached the top spot!

At a time when genuine care and memorable experiences seem to be fading, we’ve made it our mission to keep them alive.

We don’t think this recognition is about any one thing. It’s not just the spacious sites, the private shade structures, the bathhouse, the stargazing, or the weekly gatherings.

It’s the way all of those things come together to create an experience that feels different- a place to feel at home under a truly dark sky.

We’re honored by this top ranking, and we’re incredibly grateful to every guest who has chosen to spend time with us. This recognition belongs as much to our camping community and friends as it does to us and our top notch team ✨

Spring showed up, and we gave it a proper welcome 🌸

Our Spring Fling Social doubled as a birthday bash for Jeff and a one-year celebration for our incredible camp hosts—and we went all in with food stations, live music, and a cake from a talented local baker that disappeared way too fast.

These Thursday night gatherings are one of our favorite traditions—homemade meals, good conversation, and a chance to say thank you to our guests that makes this place extra special.
