Detective Findley is one of the good ones. 👊🏼💙

Right place. Right time. No hesitation.

When a truck crashed and caught fire, Findley stepped into the danger and pulled a man to safety. We’re thankful he was there—and even more thankful he was willing to run toward the problem when most would be running the other way.

Proud to call him one of ours. Great job, Detective Findley! 💙

Today, we pause to remember the 2,977 people who lost their lives during the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Heroes—both in and out of uniform—ran toward the danger, knowing only that people needed help. Firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military members, and ordinary citizens answered the call to serve, protect, and help others, never knowing what horrors awaited them.

Twenty-five years later, we remember their lives, honor their sacrifice, and recognize the families and loved ones whose lives were forever changed that day.

We should also never forget what the world looked like on September 12, 2001—the camaraderie, the determination, the compassion, and the unity that brought us together. Those qualities are still within us. They are what make our nation, our communities, and the law enforcement profession stronger.

Our November General Membership Meeting will be held November 10th at 1800 hours at the Academy.

We’ve heard from our Northland members that they’d like to see us hold occasional meetings north of the river, so we’re going to give it a shot!The goal is to continue having a couple of meetings each year up north to make it a little easier for our Northland members to attend and participate.

Next month’s General Membership Meeting will still be held at the Lodge at 1730 hours. We wanted to get November’s date and location out early so everyone has plenty of time to plan accordingly.

Big Walk will be at the Lodge grilling in the heat today because apparently he has something to prove. 😂

Come by the Lodge around noon and grab some burgers and dogs while Big Walk sacrifices himself to the grill gods. We’ll be grilling until about 4pm.

We’ll have plenty of ice-cold waters and sodas to keep everyone hydrated and refreshed. 🧊🥤

This hits too close to home…. Corporal Thoman was serving the community he loves, removing another dangerous impaired motorist from our highways, when he was struck by a passing motorist. He is expected to make a recovery but his life and mobility will never be the same. If you feel so inclined to help us support Corporal Thoman and his family, there are links in the original post to donate. Even a simple share does so much! Keep this hero, his family, and his coworkers in your prayers. If nothing else, please, PLEASE move over. It is the law for a reason!

It’s been a while since we’ve done this - what is something every patrol officer gets good at over time? Funny answers get bonus points 🤣
