This note makes my heart happy. When I was first planning cottage West, I remember being afraid that people wouldn’t like it or that they would think it was too quaint.  Instead the guests who come here, love it. They see my heart.

Years ago, I had a cleaning client who owned this gorgeous mansion just north of me. She had converted the third level into a short-term rental and then rather abruptly shut it down. I asked her why and she basically told me that her guests hadn’t been as effusive in their appreciation of her house as she thought they should be.

It made an impression on me. I took the ego out of it. And when I get a note like this from a guest, my heart fills with happiness. I don’t EXPECT it, but man, do I love it!

I continue to learn from my guests and improve thanks to their feedback, but as the t-shirt I see often when shooting pool says, “Stay Humble, Hustle Hard.”

A motto to live by and it makes feedback like this all the more sweet!

It's been a while since I posted a review. The 5-stars continue to roll in, but I've been busy with other things. We were so happy to host Gavin at Cottage West. He was in town to adopt another dog from a shelter and brought his husky along for the experience.

Lovely dog, great guy!
