🐾 Exciting news from Alaska Riverview Lodge! 🐾

I’ve started writing children’s books featuring the adventures of my very own tuxedo cat, Mizzy. Many of our guests have had the joy of meeting Mizzy during their stay, and now his stories are coming to life in books!

Mizzy Meets A Moose follows Mizzy, the Alaska tuxedo cat, as he quietly watches a moose family from his cozy cat tower at the lodge, capturing their peaceful backyard moments.

A little fun fact—I didn’t include my name as the author on the cover on purpose. I wanted to send the first book directly from Amazon to my granddaughter (I send her books each month) and let her figure it out herself. My name is on the inside cover, and Mizzy’s photo will be included at the end of all the upcoming books—so that would have been a giveaway. LOL!

But that’s just the beginning! The next book in the Mizzy Meets series, Mizzy Meets A Magpie, will be released on August 14. In this fun-filled story, Mizzy meets a bunch of noisy magpies and helps them, along with the rabbits and his friend Rocky the squirrel, learn to share the yard a little quieter — so he can sneak in a well-deserved nap!

Watch for the announcement of Mizzy Meets A Magpie’s release—I’ll include a link to the Amazon site then.

Look forward to new Mizzy Meets books every two weeks, featuring Mizzy’s backyard adventures and his encounters with more Alaska animals. While Mizzy Meets A Moose was created from Mizzy’s quiet observations without any talking, the upcoming stories will include friendly conversations between Mizzy and his animal friends, teaching children valuable lessons about sharing, kindness, and making new friends.

Someone is less than impressed with operation keep Marvin from eating all the rabbit food. He finally went over to raid the squirrel food and realized he couldn't get in there either (not for lack of trying mind you) so he drank all the water that was in the bird bath.
