We have groomed some areas within the park. In most areas there was not enough snow to groom with classic ski tracks. The only area with tracks is a loop that starts west of the Community Building parking lot and continues through the southern half of the campground area.

The best area is the "Walnut Woods" which you could access by the historic bridge southeast of the community building. Other areas groomed without tracks include south of the Community Building.

The grass edges of the paved trail were rolled and compacted, but there wasn't enough snow to groom over it.

We are only two months away from opening up reservations for our 2026 Camping Season on April 1st! Check out our 2026 Camping rates, they are unchanged from 2025!

Most of our trails have been groomed. The northeast section of the Campground Trail and the paved trails on the south side of the park.

A reminder to try and avoid the southern half (paved trails area) of the park today to let law enforcement conduct a training exercise.

A message from Officer Staupe at Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office

On Thursday, May 08, 2025, at 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM the Multi-Jurisdictional River Valley Tactical Response Team (RVTRT) will be utilizing the South and West end of the Lake Washington County Park for a training day. Signs will be posted at the park entrance off of Co Rd 19. I ask that you let the others know to avoid the park during the mentioned time frame. Several law enforcement vehicles including the Lenco Bearcat and a large supply van will be present. The RVTRT will be operating drones as part of the training.

Sorry for the inconveniences this morning, there was an issue where you could only make a reservation if you were choosing "1 adult." We just got off the phone with customer support and it should be fixed now. Sorry for the troubles!

We will begin taking reservations at 8:00am on Tuesday, April 1st for the 2025 camping season. You will have the greatest chance of securing a reservation by utilizing our online reservation system at that time, not by calling in to our campground. You may still call for a reservation (507-995-1161), but it is much quicker and easier for you to complete your reservation online and to be guaranteed a site - especially for reservations over holidays and other popular weekends.

The campground will open to self-contained units who do not need access to the shower house on April 14th. Weather pending, the campground will hopefully be open to all camping and have the shower house available on May 1st.

As we open up our reservations this morning at 8:00am, please use our online reservation link. Your greatest chance of successfully completing a reservation, especially on holiday weekends, will happen using it. When calling in for a reservation, we can only take one at a time, each one takes a few minutes, and each call could add up to a few hours of you waiting to make your reservation if you are calling in.
