Hidden Acres lost a great one this past Monday. James Farr left this world in exchange for a heavenly kingdom. He served on the board of Hidden Acres since May 5, 2004 when he was approved until this past Monday, May 5, 2025; exactly 21 years.
James was our Board Chairman, a tireless advocate, and a dear friend. He loved seeing lives changed through the ministry of Hidden Acres. He gave generouslyâfinancially, through in-kind donations, and most of all, through his time and heart. He played a major role in every building project and never hesitated to step up when there was a need.
But what truly set James apart was his character. He cared deeply for people, offering genuine friendship and wise leadership. He embodied everything a board memberâand a follower of Christâshould be.
James Farr is irreplaceable. His absence will be felt deeply. Yet, his legacy continues. The Hidden Acres logoâan acornâwas one of his favorites. And itâs fitting. James was like a mighty oak tree, planted by streams of living water (Psalm 1:3), whose life and leadership nurtured countless âacornsâ now growing in his shade.
Please join us in prayer for the Farr family and for all those mourning James' passing. His wife, Debby, stood strong beside him and continues to be a model of steadfast faith. When asked, âHow can we help?â Debby simply says:
âLive like James Farr.
Love the Lord.
Be honest.
Be fair.
Donât sit on the fence or be middle of the road.
Be kind. Offer help wherever you can.
Be generous beyond your imaginationâand expect nothing in return.â
Letâs honor James by planting more âacornsââlives rooted in faith, compassion, and a deep commitment to serve.
