Our favorite secret place! The stained glass is in the top of the tower an a magical area for the kids. In 1915, there had been a “small blaze,” according to the local newspapers. One paper said a spark from a nearby fire landed on the roof and started smoking. The other paper blamed a “burned out chimney.” Either way, the damage was minimal, and the charred timbers can still be found in a small area upstairs. The original fireplace heated the entire home and no longer exists. Now the entire house is heated with radiant floor heat, which is super cozy.
