The morts crew just wants to say thank you for the best season yet. Memories galore,parties and fish fries, fun year. Looking forward to next season. We do have one seasonal camping spot open for this summer. Stay fishy.

The season is winding down but the bite is heating up. Looks like a nice weekend for a change. Come on up for one last hurrah. The roads are great and the walleyes are tasty. Full bar and Heggies’s pizza. Bring your extension.

The weekend looks like moderate temps compared to this am. The roads are in great shape but bring an extension for your auger. Only two weekends left of walleye season and the fish are biting as they chase shiners into the shallow water. We’re stocked with fat heads and full bar. A couple of 4 person sleepers are available for this weekend and next week.

It’s been brutal cold but Mother Nature always gives something back like this photo. It should be a busy weekend on the lake,so if you’re looking for a more peaceful experience we encourage you to come to Morts. The roads are in great shape and the fishing is picking up. We have our usual 2x1 tap beers and full liquor bar. Bait and off-sale beer. Don’t forget our pull tabs help fund the Red lake association which is working with the state to keep our public lands and waters public for all. The cold weather is slowly easing out of here and moderate temperatures are on the horizon. This and some lively shiner minnows are bringing fish top side again. The weekend looks nice and we’re fully stocked with shiners,fat heads and wax worms. More crappies are showing up and some dandy perch as well. Small jigs or a plain hook and minnow combo seem the best right now. Call the lodge or stop in for some winter spirits. We have some limited openings in our rental fleet. Think fish. Thanks Scott

The road system is in good shape for the weekend. The fishing is a little slower with this colder weather and wind. Smaller presentation will yield better results. We have our usual shiner and fat head minnow selection. We have some midweek options for sleeper houses. Stop in for a cold one and keep thinking fishing. Thanks Scott. Wheel houses welcome.

The lake has held up but we lost most of our banking snow. Everyone is nice and spread out along our 7 mile road. The bite has been inconsistent with those fishing hard catching limits and those partying hard not catching as many. I don’t know who’s having more fun.

More crappies are showing up in the gut buckets as we get towards the crappie highway. Beer can flats is producing a nice mix of walleye and perch with the occasional crappie. Always have at least one line up a couple feet with a small jig and some wax worms.

We have some openings midweek for day houses and sleepers. Our bar is nicely stocked and the 2 x 1 taps are always flowing.

Beautiful fish, great guy! As of today we are lifting all restrictions for our ice road and access. Keep the speed down to 10 mph. We’re out 4 miles now and will extend that in the next couple days. Wheel houses are always welcome at morts. Access fee is 20 per day per vehicle.

The bite has been very good with most getting limits and playing catch and release. Some crappies are showing up in the gut buckets also as we get into the mud flats. We are fully stocked with fat head and shiner minnows. 2x1 Busch light taps are always available and don’t miss Shawn’s bloody Mary’s!! Heggies pizza’s, pull tabs, full bar, and thc drinks round out our selection. Merry Christmas from the crew at Morts.

The bite is great. We’re allowing 1/2 ton trucks and single axel wheel houses. Our road is straight out for 4 miles. That takes you to little Hawaii, and beer can flats. Fishing is lights out so come on up and enjoy the season. We’re stocked with fat heads and shiner minnows. 2 x 1 Busch light taps ( best deal on the lake). Pizza and hard liquor always. Support the local people and the red lake association. Keep our public lands and waters public. Thanks Scott.

We have a new delivery of golden shiners. Stop in and see the people at morts. They won’t last long. Already limits from what we’ve heard !!
