Kenai Backcountry Lodge In the heart of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, KBL is an all-inclusive backcountry lodge showcasing the beauty of the Kenai Peninsula.

Kenai Backcountry Lodge is one of the Alaska Wildland Adventures' trio of remote lodges that provide the backbone of their Alaska eco-adventure tour business. Originally built in the 1930s as a remote Alaska hunting lodge, Kenai Backcountry Lodge was lovingly restored and renovated to preserve its historic character but allow for a few modern conveniences. Today, Kenai Backcountry Lodge welcomes g

uests from around the world into the gathering room, rustically elegant and heated by a wood-stove. Surrounding the main lodge are nine cabins, each charming and unique. All offer indoor amenities, including lodge-style furnishings, linens, comforters, propane heaters and lights. Only a few paces away from the lodge, you'll find beautiful, glacier-carved Skilak Lake, only accessible by boat via Kenai River Lodge in Cooper Landing. When you are not out enjoying a guided activity, the lodge offers a wood-fired sauna (bring your suit, and some courage to dip in the lake!), a bonfire pit and even ping-pong under a canopy! As always, our staff strives to make your Alaska vacation the trip of a lifetime.
