Calling all Maine makers! 🎄

After such a wonderful summer of markets, we’re bringing a little market magic back to The Nonantum this holiday season.

Our Merry Mini Market will take place November 29, just before Prelude festivities begin, and applications are now open for local creatives, artisans, and small businesses of all kinds!

We’re looking to fill the resort with a thoughtful mix of locally made goods, delicious finds, and a little holiday whimsy.

Space is limited, and we’ll be curating the market with variety in mind. Applications do not guarantee acceptance, but we’d love to hear from you.

What makes a workplace truly great? For us, the answer is simple: our people 💙

Tina and Colby stepped away from the resort last week to spend some time in the spotlight! They joined WGME CBS 13 News, Portland to share a bit about our Raising People Up program with The Arc and what it really means to build a culture where everyone belongs.

We’ve been honored as one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for years running, but the real heart of The Nonantum has always been the incredible mix of folks who show up here every day. From local students on their very first summer job to 40-season veterans, refugees, and retirees—it’s a mosaic of different lives coming together with one shared passion: caring for our guests and each other.

Thanks to the team at Arc Maine for helping us shine a little extra light on our people!

Peepin’ 👀🍂

Color is making its way through Kennebunkport, a little more every day!

As we get closer to peak, we’re taking in every shade, every crunch of fallen leaves, and every quiet little view that makes you stop a second longer.

If you missed hearing Randall Liberty speak at the resort earlier this summer, you’re in luck! Our friends at Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library are hosting him this Wednesday, October 7th at 7:00 PM.

When he spoke here in June, his story about his journey from visiting his father in prison as a child to eventually becoming Maine’s Commissioner of Corrections led to an inspiring evening of reflection, hope, and some of the most moving conversations we’ve been a part of.

It’s a fantastic talk, completely free, and a great way to show up in support of a meaningful conversation as well as our local library.

And just like that, the Blackrock Farmstand is closed for the season 💛

Thank you to everyone who stopped by this year for armfuls of flowers, baskets of vegetables, fresh herbs, pumpkins, and all the other good things that came out of the fields and gardens at Blackrock Farm.

You can still find a selection of Blackrock × Nonantum produce and pumpkins nearby at Bradbury Brothers Market in Cape Porpoise!

Smooth sailing straight into fall ⛵🍂

After a few quieter, grayer days along the coast, we’re looking forward to more color along the river, crisp afternoons by the water, and fall settling in a little more each day here in Kennebunkport.

TGIF! We hope there’s a lobster roll in your hand, if not two 🦞😉

Between Friday, National Lobster Day, and the final stretch of Maine Lobster Week, we’ve got plenty of reason to keep the lobster rolls coming! Our Duo from the Docks specialis still on: two Maine lobster rolls + fries for $50.

Today, find us by the river at Latitudes for lunch and inside at Heckmans for dinner. With some decidedly cozy Maine weather rolling in, we’ll be bringing lunch indoors to Heckmans on Saturday and Sunday, too.

Blue skies or rain clouds, we’ll take our lobster rolls either way. Join us!

Fall came rolling in on the back of a big red truck this morning 🍂

There’s still plenty of green along the river and blue out on the water, but the signs of fall are starting to show. Pumpkins and gourds are piling up around the resort, a leaf here and there is beginning to turn, and there’s a little more gold in the gardens every day.

For now, we’re happily in that lovely in-between — a little bit summer, a little bit fall, and plenty of reasons to enjoy both!

A warm welcome to autumn from Kennebunkport. There’s plenty more in store for us this season ✨
