Tomorrow is our FINAL Maine Makers Mini Market of the season! 💙

It’s been a summer of supporting local artists, makers, and friends on the waterfront, and we’ve been blown away by everyone who has come out to shop, wander, and say hello along the way. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to this little summer series... but maybe we saved the best for last!

Come shop small, meet some very talented local makers, and find something you didn’t know you needed. Grab a drink, catch some live music at Latitudes, sit by the river, and make an evening of it with us at The Nonantum.

We are officially swimming in fresh veggies over at Blackrock Farm 🥕🍅

The gardens have been very good to us this summer, and our farmstand is overflowing with more beautiful produce than we know what to do with. So, rather than let any of that goodness go to waste, we’re spreading the Blackrock bounty a little farther!

You can now find fresh Blackrock Farm produce at Coveside Market on Ocean Avenue and, beginning tomorrow, at Bradbury Brothers Market in Cape Porpoise! 🌽

Of course, we’ll always encourage a trip out to the farm. Blackrock Farm is in peak summer form right now—flowers everywhere, gardens overflowing, and plenty of reasons to linger a little longer after filling your basket.

But if Blackrock isn’t along your daily route, we hope one of our neighborhood friends is. We’ll be doing our best to keep all three spots stocked with whatever the gardens are giving us.

More veggies, more places to find them, and fewer perfectly good peppers wondering what they did wrong 😉

Can you believe we’re already down to the final two Mini-Markets of the summer? ☀️🌊

These little Wednesday gatherings have become one of our favorite parts of the season — afternoons on the lawn, ocean breezes, a drink in hand, and such a wonderful mix of local makers and friends stopping by.
We’ve loved seeing these events come to life each week!

Come soak up another one with us tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th from 4:00–6:30 PM, featuring The Port Shifting Tides sea_road_designs Violette Tide Studios and Susie Bajakian joining us on the lawn!

And if you’re not quite ready to say goodbye to market season, neither are we! 🌿 On Wednesday, September 16th, we’re taking things down the road to Blackrock Farm for a special not-so-mini market gathering. More makers, a beautiful new setting, and plenty more to come on that soon!

We did it again! We’re so happy to share that The Nonantum has once again been named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine!

We’ve been fortunate to receive this recognition year after year, and it’s one we never take for granted. Because at the end of the day, it’s really a celebration of the people who make this place what it is.

Our team brings so much heart to The Nonantum. They show up for our guests, for this place, and—most importantly—for one another. They work hard, have a lot of fun along the way, and make us proud every single day.

So this award is really a reason to celebrate our team. And naturally, a celebration called for a little something sweet! Our Innkeeper and General Manager helped share a special treat from Auntie's House Bakery with the team in honor of the good news!

To our wonderful Nonantum team: thank you for everything you bring to this place and to each other. We feel very lucky to do what we do alongside you.

Some awards introduce The Nonantum to travelers from across the country. Others reflect the support of the community that knows us best—and that recognition is especially meaningful to us.
