✨STORY TIME✨ We had just bought the Dome and needed to furnish it. If you asked our friends, they may have joked that the main reason we bought the Dome was for an excuse to go antiquing in Maine. They weren’t completely wrong!
We found these chairs at Anytime Antiques in Welles and at the time I was driving a small Prius C, which I couldn’t even fit one in.
I was brainstorming with the seller about how I was going to jump through hoops to get these chairs back to the Dome when a gentleman who was glancing at some books next to us looked up and said he was heading back to Kennebunkport, had a truck, and would be happy to help me.
This was one of my first encounters with the Maine community and it left such a warm place in our hearths, helping solidify that even though we maybe just made the craziest first time home purchase ever, we had such a strong community around us for support.
