Christmas Prelude has always been about more than lights, events and holiday cheer. It is about community, tradition and the spirit of Kennebunkport.
Forty-five years ago, our owner Sheila helped bring this beloved celebration to life — and today, as we face a town vote on June 9 about funding Kennebunkport's Christmas Prelude, we proudly stand with Sheila and with Christmas Prelude.
We believe in honoring the people, businesses, volunteers and visitors who have made Prelude such a meaningful part of this town for generations. Like any long-standing tradition, it takes care, cooperation and community support to keep it going.
We love Christmas Prelude. We support Christmas Prelude. And we hope our friends voting in Kennebunkport will, too. ❤️
Sheila Matthews-Bull is the owner of the Rhumb Line Resort, past chair of Christmas Prelude (for years and years and years) and former Board of Selectmen.
