Owners should have received the annual mailing with the proposed 2027 Budget. The budget approval meeting is scheduled for Sept 8th at 6 pm via Zoom. Contact the office or this site for instructions to join this Zoom meeting. Also included in this mailing was notification for this year’s Owners Meeting, scheduled for Oct 18th at 11 am in Key Largo. There are 3 seats on the Board of Directors open this year and instructions for nominating candidates is included in your mailing.

The 2026 spiny lobster season opens with the two-day recreational mini-season July 29 and 30, followed by the regular commercial and recreational lobster season, which starts Aug. 6 and runs through March 31, 2027. Remember, the limit in Monroe county is six lobsters per licensed harvester. There will be lots of boats, snorkelers and divers in the water, so be safe out there.

The weather and seas were ideal this past week. Although the water was a little chilly when first getting in, still found two keeper lobsters. Even had the Marine Patrol double-check them to make sure. More great memories made at Florida Bay Club.
