Family, Faith, & Fun!
The second Sunday of every month.
It's been brewing for awhile...a desire to meet together in a more-connected, more continuous way. So starting with next Sunday (August 9th), we are planning to host a Family, Faith, & Fun day on the second Sunday of every month for the rest of the year (excepting December) and hopefully into the new year. To get us rolling, we will host the first few events at our place (Coopers) in the country...
Though we can't get together en masse throughout the year (and especially now), we can still come together in smaller inter-generational family groups to practice the Presence of God and practice what it means to be Athletes of the Spirit. If you have been to CFO, the elements of FFF will be familiar to you. If you've been wanting to bring a friend from your faith community to get a taste, this may be just the time. Every time we meet the focus will be on inter-generational family time---we are one family!
The Theme for our First Week is "Joy!" Feel free to come any time after 2:00 to hang out, and if you have any soft wiggly thing (a pool noodle, a soft pillow, ribbons, etc.) bring it along. We'll start our multi-generational fun with an outdoor walk culminating in a joy tunnel (think victory tunnel meets CFO hug line plus goofy fun minus person-to-person contact).
3:30 - Singing and Movement, Followed by a Talk/Teach/Share, Followed by Prayer Pods, Creatives, and Open Sharing
5:30 - Dinner and Fellowship, feel free to stay until you need to head home for the evening!
