We’re excited to see everyone at the Killdeer Summer Kick-Off Party & Street Dance! As always, your safety is our top priority. Please be mindful of your surroundings, watch out for one another, and follow any posted guidelines or instructions from event staff.

🚧 Heads up: A detour map is included in this post to help you navigate around downtown road closures. Central Ave. (ND-US Highway 22) from Railroad to 1st Street will be closed from 2 pm to midnight Saturday, June 7th for the event.

Public Announcement: Found a Stray Animal? Here’s What to Do!

Attention, everyone! If you come across a stray animal in our community, here’s how you can help:

✅ Stay Safe – If the animal is friendly, check for tags or an ID. Do not chase or corner the animal.
✅ Contact Local Authorities – Call the City of Killdeer Police Department at 701-764-5678 and select Option 3 or the Non-Emergency State Radio at 701-328-9921 to report the stray.

The City of Killdeer Police Department has been and continues to be committed to reuniting stray animals with their families. Thank you for keeping our community safe for both people and pets!

Great place to take your kids. Just down the park.

Operating times for the Splash Pad, located at the North Prairie Park, are 8 am- 8 pm. You do have to push the button in the center of the pad for it to start up. This will run for 3 minutes before having to press again to keep going. Have fun and enjoy being cool in this heat.

Don't miss the upcoming July 4th Killdeer Lions Club Parade at 2:00 PM as part of the Killdeer Saddle Club 101st Killdeer Mountain Roundup Rodeo! Lineup for the parade starts at 1:00 PM at the Killdeer Public School District #16 Elementary School Parking Lot circled with the parade traveling south on Central Ave (Highway 22 Killdeer Business Loop).
