Hiking up the 4000 ft Peaks, mountain biking, whitewater rafting , fly fishing right out the back, bald eagles , blue heron sightings looking out the window and or just exploring the western mountains of Maine, or just get away and read a book, sipping your glass of w**e by the fire on a chilly spring evening and listening to the natural white noise that the falls provide, come stay with us!

Today, I hung up this painting in apartment 1 my mom had painted in 1980. My aunt and uncle gave me this painting 3 years ago. I finally took it out of the sealed box, I feel like an archeologist opening up a sacred artifact and once I did, a blast of cold air came out of it, and soon it brought me back in time when my mom was painting it. The heavy texture in the water, she was painting it by squeezing the oil paint out of the tube rather than using the paint brush. It is more beautiful than I can imagine. It goes well in this bedroom, picking up the colors in the rug, the furniture, wall, etc. This painting brought peace into me this morning.

These absolutely beautifully individually hand painted mugs are going to the guests who's staying over a week. Painted by Janice Tandy of Tiny Loft Studio here in Kingfield. Janice will also be a guest artist at Alpine Design and The Melissa Aromatherapy during The Kingfield Friday Artwalk on March 7th, 5 to 7:30pm.

No more "springy" mattress on the sofa sleeper. It has been replaced with the cool gel memory foam for more of a restful peaceful comfortable sleep.
