Love the winter outdoors? Come give back to the community that shares your passion!

We're looking for volunteer caretakers to help at our huts this winter, Monday through Wednesday on self-service days. You'll give our hut staff a well-earned rest and make sure every guest arrives to a warm welcome and a cozy place to land.

No experience needed! Join our free training session on November 7th at Flagstaff Lake Hut and we'll get you ready.

This summer and fall, board president Fred Prescott and members Calen Colby and John Spelke swapped meeting agendas for work gloves and tool belts to repair three decks at Stratton Brook Hut: the rear wood stacking deck, the hut staff deck and stairs, and a section by the bunkrooms.

Over two overnight trips, they donated their time and skills to keep the hut safe, sturdy, and welcoming for everyone.

Their dedication to Maine Huts & Trails shows in every board they laid. Calen, Fred, and John: thank you!

Veterans Adaptive Sports & Training (VAST) returned for a fall foliage getaway at Flagstaff Lake Hut, biking around area trails and beyond and catching some of the best color of the season.

This is it, friends: our final weekend of the season is here! Join us Saturday or Sunday, 11am to 2pm, for our last lunch and open fall hut hours. Enjoy special menu items just for the finale, a warm (or cold) beverage to sip while you linger, and fall foliage that's putting on its best show.

Lace up your boots, jump on the bike, bring a friend, and wrap up the season with us. Come hungry, stay awhile, and soak in the color.

We can't wait to see you one more time!
