Due to Covid-19, operations have been very limited, but we do expect to pop up when you least expect it. ce today. The Hill Top Motel
The original DocuMART office was housed at the Hill Top Motel, a classic mid-century motel at 1901 E Andy Devine Ave in Kingman, AZ (Historic Route 66). Documart was active in room 105. Herberta Holly Schroeder was a co-owner of the Hill Top Motel and helped facilitate DocuMART/Kingman, AZ relations. The motel had a pool and WiFi. No cats were allowed, but dog arrangements were available. The (now closed) Hill Top is 1.4 miles from the Kingman, AZ Amtrak station which is served by the daily Southwest Chief train (serving Chicago, Kansas City, Albuquerque, Los Angeles and intermediate locations). Trains from Los Angeles arrive every morning at 01:33 AM and trains from Chicago (to Los Angeles) arrive every evening at 11:46 PM. Commuter Services provides daily shuttle services connecting the Las Vegas McCarren Airport to Kingman’s Amtrak station. DocuMART provided a free shuttle to visitors from the Amtrak station with advance notice. Kingman, AZ is 2 hours drive or shuttle ride from Las Vegas, 5 hours drive from Los Angeles, and 7 hours train from Los Angeles.
