Hi everybody. We understand that there is a lot going on getting ready for the upcoming season. We have learned a BUNCH after the ice storm and failures of the docks. Going forward, we absolutely prohibit any modifications of docks without permission of Lake Greeson development. Please do not attempt any projects without getting approval in advance.

Hi everyone! Here is an update on the dock repair process:

We have decided on a repair company! Although we cannot provide an exact start date, it will be fairly soon. We will be in contact with the owners of the boats that we need to temporarily relocate. We have learned a lot from this experience and most of the failures we have seen were due to holes being drilled into columns and uprights, so please please please make sure every project is approved by management going forward. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation and understanding during this time!

Update at Self Creek:

We are opening access to ALL docks today shortly after lunch! Walkways and surfaces are very slippery - use handrails and be careful!

Concerning A Dock:

There are areas that will be flagged off with orange tape - please, do NOT cross any orange tape. Your cooperation is necessary in order for us to keep the dock open. Feel free to come check on your boats, spend the evening, and enjoy the winter weather.

Good Morning,

I would like to give an update on the condition of our docks here at Self Creek.
The good news first:
B, C, D, E, the guest dock, work dock, and marina are all in good shape with no damage to any boat that we have seen.
Unfortunately, A dock has taken significant damage. It is not safe to be on at this time, and we ask that people stay off the dock for now. I have been in touch with two dock building companies to come and help us assess the situation once the ice melts. If your boat has any damage, you will be hearing from us today.
I want to thank everyone for the calls and texts over the last few days. We will continue to keep you updated through Facebook as the ice melts and conditions change.

Safety has been and still will be our number one priority!

Due to the inclement weather, we have experienced damage to our docks. The docks are not safe to access. Please do not try to access any of the docks at this time. We are doing our best to monitor everyone’s boat, and are not seeing any damages to boats, only the docks.
