2026/2027 are going to be crazy. Literally EVERY park is dropping a major new land or coaster at the same time
Here's the full breakdown!!
1. MONSTROPOLIS - Disney's Hollywood Studios - Late 2027/2028
The one we've waited YEARS for. Humans are finally invited into Monstropolis with Disney's first ever suspended door coaster. You literally fly through the door vault like in the movies. Replacing Muppets Courtyard, this whole land is going to be massive.
2. FAST & FURIOUS: HOLLYWOOD DRIFT - Universal Studios Florida - 2027
You asked about this one — it's WILD. Fast & Furious Supercharged closes August 2026 to make way for Universal's fastest coaster ever. 72mph, cars that rotate 360 degrees while drifting, and a 170ft vertical spike over CityWalk. This replaces Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and will change the whole skyline.
3. SEAQUEST: LEGENDS OF THE DEEP - SeaWorld Orlando - 2026
The one you said — SEAQuest! Opening THIS year. World's first suspended indoor dark ride. You board submersible vehicles and dive through bioluminescent oceans. Weather-proof, family-friendly, and the most important addition SeaWorld has done in years.
4. KUMBA'S REVENGE - Busch Gardens Tampa Bay - After Aug 2nd 2026
This one is bittersweet. Kumba closes forever on August 2nd 2026 after 33 years as a legend. Busch Gardens says Revenge is an extension of that legend as part of a $100M investment. No layout yet, but if it's anything like Kumba... we're in for it.
5. VILLAINS LAND + CARS LAND - Magic Kingdom - Building 2027/2028
Disney is building TWO lands at once behind Frontierland. Villains Land will be dark, gothic and totally new for Magic Kingdom, and Cars Land brings Radiator Springs to Florida. Construction has started.
6. GALACTICOASTER - LEGOLAND Florida - Feb 27th 2026
First ever indoor coaster at LEGOLAND Florida! Part of the $90M LEGO Galaxy land. You build your own spaceship then launch from Spaceport 885. Perfect if you're traveling with little ones.
7. TROPICAL AMERICAS - Disney's Animal Kingdom - 2027
DinoLand closed Feb 2nd 2026 and becomes Pueblo Esperanza — an 11-acre rainforest village. This is where we get Indiana Jones AND Encanto! Indiana Jones takes over the old DINOSAUR track with a brand new Mayan temple story, and the first ever Encanto ride takes you inside the Casita. Plus a beautiful new carousel.
8. LION & HYENA RIDGE - Busch Gardens Tampa Bay - Spring 2026
A 35,000 sq ft ultra-immersive savanna habitat for 5 young lions and spotted hyenas. Opens Spring 2026 and looks stunning.
