Nestled in the heart of the Outer Banks, Serendipity is a historic cottage that offers stunning ocean views and a unique blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. It fronts Beach Road, which basically means this is ocean front as there are no homes

to block your view. Simply cross Beach Road to one of the open access points over the sand dunes, and you'll be at the ocean! This cottage comes stocked with lots of books, board games, and puzzles. It also had more modern amenities such as 2 flatscreen cable TVs, DVD player (along with a nice collection of DVDs) and Internet/WIFI. If you want an old-fashioned beach house experience, getting back to basics, possibly take a little bit of a step back in time (we even have a cassette player with cassettes!) with absolutely incredible ocean views....then this is your place! Also, Serendipity recently received the prestigous "Guests Favorite" award on Airbnb, meaning that Serendipity is one of the most loved homes by Airbnb guests!

Our trip to OBX is over and we got quite a bit done, including painting the screen door, painting sunporch window trim, ...

Our trip to OBX is over and we got quite a bit done, including painting the screen door, painting sunporch window trim, new gate hinges and cable locks, new security camera, some interior painting and touch-ups, leveled out some of the backyard, removed cacti from the backyard, replaced light bulbs, replaced weather stripping, stocked up on supplies, cleaned the sunporch, cleaned the utility shed, fixed some exterior nail pops, added more books, added more large coffee mugs, new bath mats, fixed loose trim in sunporch, fixed exterior window trim, painted the sunporch cabinet, hung up some “rent direct” signage, replaced foot shower head, and got HVAC maintenance performed. Anytime we go down, our objective is to always leave Serendipity better than when we arrived.
